Just a thought…
Liberals objected loudly in 2004 when President Bush pushed social issues (e.g., a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage) to energize his base and distract from his record on the economy and foreign policy. (A record that doesn’t look so bad next to Obama’s, I might add.)
Eight years later, President Obama is doing the exact same thing (e.g., unilaterally deciding not to enforce immigration laws, declaring his “personal support” for same-sex marriage) in an attempt to distract from his failed record on the economy, and liberals are swooning.
Someone should really call him out on this… I’m sure it won’t be the media.
